Kinzie and Matt, You guys are in our thoughts and prayers. I just want to encourage you that the coldness you might feel on the metro is not reflective of the Russians' tender hearts nor of their tremendous hospitality. I think after a few more days, you will see what I mean. Hang in there and remember that the Lord doesn't need you to accomplish his goals...if he wants to use you, he will. So, the limited time that you are there is not really an issue. Any self-inflicted pressure to make the most of the time seems like satan's distraction to you. I know in a practical sense it does matter, but just remember that God is not limited by time, nor by language, nor by any weakness of ours. I hope that doesn't sound too preachy, but it reflects my hope that you both will be able to simply "Be still and know that (HE is) God." He wants to shape YOU while you are there as much as he wants to use you for his purposes with the Russian people. You guys are awesome. We're so glad you're there safely and that you are obeying the Lord in his calling to spend this time in Russia. The Lord smells a sweet aroma coming from your flat; I am certain he is pleased with your hearts' desires and your obedience. God bless you guys! Keep us posted. Love--Dianne
My precious children, It is such a blessing to read your blog and feel a part of what you are experiencing. I am encouraged, as you are, with the way the Lord has broght you to this place and to know how many are praying for you. I was suprised that Kinzie's class started so quickly and am anxious to see pictures of her students as well as Matt's. Valadimir is asking every few days about you and I will encourage him to look at your blog. May He give you extra energy this week and great insight to relate to your students!! Love, Mom
